Tobacco Dock's dynamic and closely attuned team is one of its greatest assets. With regular cross-departmental training and a company-wide mentorship programme we put considerable resources into attracting and retaining the cream of the industry talent.
The past year has seen us surpass our ambitious target of 20% for profit and net revenue as well as achieving considerable growth in our client satisfaction scores.
We have strategically placed ourselves to attract more tech, retail and professional service conferences and events, creating a business development team to actively make connections and build relationships within these sectors. Investment into the fabric of the building, our tech infrastructure and in creating new spaces have resulted in a slew of client wins from leading brands such as Cisco, Karen Millen, Deloitte, Nike and many more. We are also delighted to have an increasing number of repeat customers - for example, we will be hosting Meatopia and Taste for the fifth consecutive year this year.
The creation of our rooftop bar, Skylight, was part of a wider project to make use of unused parts of our large, Grade 1 Listed building. Created in the top two floors of our disused multi-storey car park, Skylight is an urban lawn club by summer and home to Europe's only rooftop ice rink in winter. Our inaugural year saw more than 80,000 visitors over its 27 week (4 days a week) season.
